 Candice 

The apiarist and chandler behind Wild Hive Apiary, a local provider of honey and beeswax products. Recently, Wild Hive has expanded its offerings to include naturally dyed candles in a variety of tapers and pillars.

Born and raised in Chilliwack, BC, a city known for its blend of large and small farms and abundant agritourism opportunities, Candice’s upbringing left a lasting impression. At 21, she moved to Alberta to pursue an education in Agriculture and Horticulture at Olds College. It was there that she not only deepened her knowledge of her favorite subjects but also found love, marrying a farmer.

Candice and her husband, Joel, now live on a mixed farm outside Warburg, AB, where Joel and his brothers run the farming operations. Together, Candice and Joel have built a life that includes raising three children, caring for three dogs, and managing an apiary and gardens.
